Funeral services for Edward Barrett, 46 years of age, of Leeds, was held Saturday at 9 a.m. from St. Michael’s Catholic church, Father Klein officiating. Interment was made in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Barrett died in a Sioux City hospital on Wednesday of last week, of euremic poisoning. He was born near James, Iowa, November 6, 1886, and farmed in the vicinity of James and Leeds during his lifetime.
Surviving are his widow; four sons, Edward, Maurice, Leo and Harold; four daughters, Leona, Maxine, Francis and Iona, all of Sioux City; his mother, Mrs. C.F. Kannow, of Hinton; two brothers, William of Hinton, and Henry of Elgin, Ill.; and three sisters, Mrs. L.F. Kirby of Chicago, Mrs. O.E. Sanburg, of Racine, Wis., and Mrs. F.B. Adams of Imola, Calif.
