CLARENCE BENNETT DIED WEDNESDAY

Clarence Bennett, 71, a life long resident of Hinton and vicinity, excepting the past three years since he and Mrs. Bennett have been living in Sioux City, died Wednesday at his residence, 512 15th Street, after an illness of several weeks.

Mr. Bennett was born on a farm south of Hinton December 18, 1880.

Many years ago he was manager of a grain elevator at Hinton and in later years, before retiring, operated a truck line here. He was widely known in this territory.

Survivors include his widow, Lilly; a son, Ray of Kalamazoo, Mich.; a brother, Vern of Los Angeles; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Woolworth and Mrs. Frank March, both of Los Angeles, Mrs. Oma Woolworth of Sioux City and Mrs. Lizzie Lobe of Parkston, S.D.; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Westcott Doughty-Chandler funeral home Saturday forenoon, June 14, at 10 o’clock.
