ANOTHER PLYMOUTH PIONEER PASSES
Mrs. Hope Bornholtz, 72, of Leeds, died Friday afternoon in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 Monday afternoon at Calvary Lutheran Church in Leeds, with Rev. E.C. Zschoche officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery.
Mrs. Bornholtz was born October 15, 1880, in Plymouth County. She was married October 29, 1898, to Hans Bornholtz. He died 10 years ago. Mrs. Bornholtz was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and the women’s groups of the church.
Survivors include a son and four daughters, Harold Bornholtz and Hope Sanders of Sioux City, Mrs. Gladys Plumer and Mrs. Bernice Junck of Moville, and Mrs. Irene Nagel of Pierson; two brothers, Claude F. Blumer of Big Bear, Minn., and Ed C. Sherard of Onatario, Cal.; a sister, Mrs. Doris M. Coburn of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
