WAS PLYMOUTH COUNTY RESIDENT 30 YEARS
Mrs. Mary Edith Blades, 72, of Leeds, died Sunday afternoon at a Sioux City hospital following an illness of several months.
Mrs. Blades was born July 6, 1877, at Baldwin, Iowa. She was married to Ellis Blades at Onawa, Iowa, October 1, 1896.
They resided on a farm near Castana, Iowa, until 1918, when they moved to a farm in this vicinity near James where they resided until 1918 when they moved to Leeds.
Mrs. Blades was a member of Wesley Methodist church.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond A., living on the home place near James, and Floyd of Milford, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. Opal _fall, of Sante Fe, N.M.; and a sister, Miss Grace Scott, of Belfourche, S.D.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Westcott- Doughty Chandler funeral home. Rev. H.C. Culver officiated and burial was in Graceland Park cemetery.
