A. L. BAKER DIES AT SALT LAKE CITY
Albert L. Baker, 89, a former resident at Hinton where he operated a shoe and harness repair shop, died Sunday at Salt Lake City, Utah, where he has resided the past year in the home of his son, Ralph.
Mr. Baker was born May 5, 1870, on a farm in Monona county, and was a long time resident in Sioux City. He was a member of the First Methodist church at Sioux City.
Survivors include his three sons, Ralph of Salt Lake City, F.V. Baker of Des Moines, and Earl of San Lorenzo, Cal.; three daughters, Mrs. Pete Asmussen of Linn Grove, Iowa, Mrs. Raymond Blades, south of Hinton, and Mrs. Vera Nash of Sioux City; three brothers; three sisters; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Mrs. Baker died in March 1949.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 this Thursday afternoon at the Wescott Doughty-Chandler funeral home, with Rev. R.D. Acheson of Trimble Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Graceland Park cemetery.
