Charles Ira Reid, 90, a resident of Leeds since 1907, died Saturday at his residence.
Mr. Reid was born January 2, 1861, in Muscatine, Iowa. As a youth he went to northern Missouri and later moved to Page county, Iowa, where he resided until 1887, when he came to Plymouth County where he operated a farm until he retired in 1907.
Mr. Reid was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge 164, the lodge encampment 44, and Wesley Methodist church.
Survivors include a son, Arthur L.; a daughter, Mrs. Ina Solberg, of Sioux City; a brother, Joseph of Gravity, Iowa; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 Monday afternoon at the Methodist church in Leeds, with Rev. Fred Smith officiating. Burial was in Graceland Park Cemetery.
