FUNERAL FOR MRS. RAY HELD SATURDAY

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, at 2 o’clock in the Winter Funeral Home at Sioux City, for Mrs. Josephine Ray who passed away Thursday, April 30. Rev. D.E. Streyfeller, pastor of the Methodist church at Hinton, officiated and burial was in Graceland Park cemetery at Sioux City.

Mrs. Ray was born October 16, 1871, in Stevenson county, Illinois, and as a child, with her parents located near Yankton, S.D. she had been a resident of Wagner and also Quinn, S.D. before locating in Minneapolis, Minn. where she spent 10 years. In 1928, she and her husband located in Sioux City where she resided until the death of her husband, Frank Ray, in 1947, when she came to Hinton.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. E.A. Nurnberg of Hinton, two nieces and one nephew.
