AKRON, Iowa -- Anna Maria Pefferman, 90, of Akron died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, in Akron.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Union Creek Lutheran Church in rural Akron, S.D., with the Rev. Steve Larson officiating. Burial will be in Union Creek Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron, Iowa.

Mrs. Pefferman was born Sept. 22, 1912, in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Mary (Euken) Osterbuhr.

She married Gilbert Pefferman on Nov. 10, 1950, in Pender, Neb. She was a homemaker and worked at the Akron Care Center for 22 years. The couple farmed in the Union Creek area for a number of years. They also worked as the janitors for Union Creek Lutheran Church for many years. Mr. Pefferman died Aug. 3, 1964.

She was a member of Union Creek Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Dixie and Jim Madsen of Canon City, Colo.; a son and his wife, Gary and Bonnie Pefferman of Joplin, Mo.; a brother, Elmer Osterbuhr of Hawarden, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Otto Osterbuhr; and a sister, Martha Popken.
