GEORGE CASPER
George A. Casper, 86, of Sioux City, who had farmed in the Hinton area most of his life, died Friday (Jan. 26, 1979) at Westwood Nursing Home in Sioux City after an illness of several months.
Mr. Casper was born June 4, 1892, in Plymouth County to Peter and Eva Leubben Casper. His marriage to Elsie Ideker took place May 4, 1915, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hinton.
He was a member of Trinity and Faith Lutheran churches.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Lloyd in 1970; seven brothers and a sister.
Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Hinton, with Rev. A. Schultz and Rev. Morris Kirchof officiating. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran Church cemetery at rural Hinton under the direction of the Mauer funeral home in LeMars.
Survivors are his wife, Elsie of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Eldon (Edna) Kounkel, LeMars, and Mrs. Larry (Marjorie) Ladenthin, Kingsley; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Carl Muecke, LeMars.
