ARTHUR CASPER

Arthur F. H. Casper, 79, 4009 Capitol St. died Sunday (Aug. 8, 1982) in a Sioux City hospital after a short illness.

Services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Lutheran Church. The Rev. Ronald Flentgen officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Casper was born Jan. 8, 1903, in Hinton, Iowa.

He married Daisy C. Holdcroft in 1928 and they made their home in Sioux City. He owned and operated several trucklines in Sioux City and the surrounding area until 1957, when he sold to Sioux Transportation. He built the Sioux Village Bowl in 1957 and the Plaza Bowl two years later, operating them until 1972, when he retired.

Mr. Casper was a member of Rotary Club and Calvary Lutheran Church where he held several different offices throughout the years.

Survivors are his wife; one son, Bruce, of Sioux City; a daughter, Jayna Warner of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Caroline) Richards of Hinton; and seven grandchildren.
