WIDELY KNOWN RESIDENT DIES

Friends and relatives of Edward Casper were shocked to hear of his death which occurred Tuesday forenoon of this week at the Lutheran hospital in Sioux City. He was confined to his bed with pneumonia since last Friday and was taken to the hospital Monday where he passed away unexpectedly Tuesday.

Mr. Casper has attained the age of 33 years, seven months and ten days, and was a life long resident of Plymouth County. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Casper, who have both preceded him in death. He was born June 2, 1903, on a farm 5 miles east of Hinton, where he matured to manhood and later engaged in farming, until three years ago, when he with his family located in Hinton, where they have since resided. For the past three years, Mr. Casper was engaged in the trucking and transfer business.

Mr. Casper was united in marriage to Margaret Girard on May 20, 1923, and to this union were born five children, namely, Robert, 13; Donald, 12; Leona May, 8; Charlotte Ann, 7; and Louise, 5; one brother, George; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Blankenberg, and Mrs. Carl Muecke; all of Hinton, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock in the home, and 1:30 in Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. R.J. Torgler will officiate. Burial will be made in the Lincoln Lutheran cemetery.
