PERRY TOWNSHIP RESIDENT PASSES AWAY

A.C. Clemensen, 71 years of age, of Perry township, died in his home Sunday night after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held in the home Wednesday afternoon with Rev. A.B. Schwertz officiating, and burial was made in Graceland Park cemetery at Sioux City.

Mr. Clemensen, who had resided in Perry township for nearly 30 years, was born October 11, 1864, in Schleswig-Holstein. He came to the United States in 1870 and settled in Cedar County, Nebr., where he lived until moving to Iowa.

Survivors include his widow; seven daughters, Mrs. Bessie Hunter of Westfield, Iowa, Mrs. Edith Jones of Wynot, Neb., Mrs. Mabel Hanson of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Frank Mahaney, Mrs. Beulah Strand and the Misses Georgia and Delores Clemensen, all of Sioux City; three sons, Harvey and Arthur of Sioux City, and Roy, of Perry township; two brothers, Lawrence of Hartington, Neb., and George of Denmark.
