Ralph E. Clark, 55, of Lawton, died last week Tuesday night at a hospital after an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Clark was born August 13, 1894, near Hornick. When he was 7 years of age, he moved with his family to the Lawton community. The family later lived on a farm near Westfield, Iowa.
He married Eliza McFarland April 29, 1924, in Sioux City. They farmed for many years in Plymouth County, moving to Woodbury County 11 years ago.
Mr. Clark was a veteran of World War I, having served with the 33rd Division overseas. He was a member of the Hinton post of the American Legion.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, Ralph H. and Leonard, both at home; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Causland and Mrs. Ethelyn Eberly, both of Sioux City; a sister, Miss Lily Clark of Hinton; three brothers, Ned of Denver, and Harry and Frank, both of Sioux City; and a grandson.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. last Saturday at the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside. Rev. W. Smith officiated and burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
