RAYMOND (BEN) ALBERT

Raymond (Ben) Albert, 81, of Hinton, died Friday (Aug. 26, 1988) at Brentwood Good Samaritan Care Center in LeMars after a brief illness.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Hinton. Rev. Jerry Hahn officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Visitation was after 2 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mr. Albert was born Nov. 11, 1906, at Kingsley to Louis and Elizabeth McIntosh Albert. He married Anita Kroeger April 20, 1928, at Elk Point, S.D. The couple lived in Kingsley until 1956 when they moved to a farm in the Hinton area. They retired in 1976 at which time they moved into Hinton. He was a retired farmer. Mrs. Albert died in 1980.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors are a son, Laurel (Chris) Albert of Hinton; two grandsons, Gary Albert of Kansas City, Mo., and Jim Albert of Hinton; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John (Edna) Hopp and Mrs. Maurice (Ethel) Hodge, both of Kingsley. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
