LOUIS WINTER

Louis F. Winter, Jr., 77, Flandreau, S.D., a former Hinton resident, died Tuesday (April 14, 1981) after a brief illness.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Flandreau.

Mr. Winter was born July 6, 1903, on a farm near Hinton. He graduated from Hinton High School in 1922 and attended business school in Sioux City.

He married Bess Munson June 21, 1930, and the couple farmed near Hinton before moving to Flandreau where they continued to farm until retiring. His wife died in 1972.

Survivors are a daughter, Gwenda, of Flandreau; a brother, Merlin Winter, LeMars; three sisters, Mrs. George (Mildred) Schultz, Merrill; Mrs. Elmer (Bernice) Plueger, Merrill; and Mrs. Lee (Gladys) Taylor, LeMars; and two granddaughters.
