OCCUPATION: His mother died when he was one year old and he was raised by his grandparents, August and Caroline Lau. He served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 10, 1941, until his discharge June 25, 1945. He then returned to the Kingsley area where he farmed until 1967, when he became the grounds keeper for the Kingsley Golf Course. he retired in 1990.
