OCCUPATION: She lived in Rockwell City and later moved with her family to Pocahontas, Iowa, where she graduated from Sacred Heart School in 1925. She then attended business courses at St. Angela’s Academy in Carroll, Iowa. She was employed as a secretary, bookkeeper, and clerk at various businesses in Laurens and Estherville, Iowa, Denver, Colo., and Omaha, Neb. In the early 1940s, she moved to Remsen, where she was employed with J.P. Beck General Store. After her marriage, the couple resided in Remsen. He died Dec. 8, 1996. She entered Happy Siesta in October 1998.
SURVIVORS: …include a son and his wife, Dennis and Denise of Naperville, Ill.; a daughter and her husband Mary Ann and Tom Martin of Omaha; four grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and two sisters-in-law, Marge Albrecht and Doris Ernst, both of Pocahontas.
MEMBER OF: St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Third Order of St. Francis, Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters of America.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …three brothers, Virgil, Arthur, and Edward Albrecht.
