PLACE OF BIRTH: …in rural LeMars, Iowa
PARENTS: Ralph and Sarah (Aukema) Kurvink
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 1st MARRIAGE: Claus De Vries, March 25, 1920, Grundy Center, IA.
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 2nd MARRIAGE: Walter Van Wyngarden, July 22, 1972, Pella, Iowa
OCCUPATION: In her first marriage they lived in Kelsey until 1925, when they moved to Archer, where they owned and operated a hardware store for 30 years. They retired in Archer in 1955. Mr. DeVries died Sept. 5, 1962. In February 1963, she moved to Pella, where she became head resident of Graham Hall at Central College. She retired in 1970. Her second husband died Dec. 22, 1982, at Pella, IA. She moved to Orange City in 1983.
MEMBER OF: Second Reformed Church of Pella, IA.
SURVIVORS: …include a daughter, Mrs. Albert (Arlene) Ten Clay of Orange City; a daughter-in-law, Eleanor DeVries of Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; four stepsons and their wives; three stepdaughters and their husbands; and a sister, Jeannette Rushton, of La Jolla, Calif.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …a son, Wayne DeVries; a brother, Sidney Kurvink; and a son-in-law, the Rev. Albert H. TenClay.
PLACE OF BURIAL: East Lawn Cemetery, Sheldon, IA
