OCCUPATION: He served in the U.S. Navy from March 1940 until March 1946. The couple lived in Craig until moving to LeMars in 1967. He worked many years in the automotive parts field and then in 1971 became custodian for Clark Elementary School in LeMars. He retired in November 1986.
MEMBER OF: St. John’s Lutheran Church, LeMars, IA
SURVIVORS: …include his wife; a daughter, Carol and her husband, Nor Siders, of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sons, Chuck and his wife, Linda of LeMars and Paul and his wife, Kathy of Lincoln, Neb.; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Bernice Stewart of Sioux City; three nieces and two nephews.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …his parents; twin brothers in infancy; and a brother, H. Keith Van De Water.
