Celia Jane Schreiber, 90, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Dec, 8, 2004, at a Le Mars, Iowa nursing home.

There will be no services. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Larkin Northside Funeral Home.

Celia was born March 17, 1914, in Plymouth County, Iowa. She lived in several places as a child and graduated from Central High School in Sioux City.

She married Warren Schreiber on Feb. 14, 1951, in Pierre, S.D. After their marriage, they moved to her family's farm, which had been in her family for more than 100 years. Warren died Dec. 17, 2001, at his residence. She moved to Sioux City in 2002 to live with her daughter. She had been a resident of the nursing home since July 2004.

She was active at the Siouxland Senior Center, where she enjoyed line dancing. She was also interested in the study of genealogy.

She is survived by her daughter, Melody Schreiber of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Eva (Edwards) Harrison; a sister, Beulah McDonnell; and her husband.
