LE MAR, Iowa -- Jeannie Steinbrueck, 59, of Le Mars passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, with the Rev. James Tigges officiating. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Mandan Union Cemetery, Mandan, N.D. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday, with the family present 4 to 8 p.m., a parish rosary at 4 p.m. and a Scriptural prayer service at 7 p.m., at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Jean Ann Steinbrueck was born Jan. 9, 1946, in Wagner, S.D., the daughter of James A. and Helen (Hron) Rados. She attended country school near Dante, S.D., before graduating from Wagner High School. She later received her degree from Stewart's School of Hair Styling in Sioux Falls, S.D. She began her career as a hairdresser and cosmetologist in Sioux Falls. She later moved to California to further her career. After a few years, she moved to Yankton, S.D. and worked at Ruth's Salon and managed Regis Hair Salon.

It was in Yankton that she met Warren Steinbrueck and the couple were wed on Sept. 15, 1984, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. They moved to Aberdeen, S.D., where she stayed home to raise their daughter, Molly. The couple would returned and lived in Yankton for a few years before moving to Le Mars in 1991. She helped her husband manage the Medicap Pharmacy as well as caring for her family.

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She had a wonderful outlook on life and enjoyed visiting with people as well as telling stories and jokes.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Warren; a daughter, Molly of Le Mars; her mother, Helen Rados of Yankton, S.D.; a sister and her husband, Joyce and Le Roy Schumacher of Yankton, S.D.; her mother-in-law, Betty Steinbrueck of Mandan, N.D.; a sister-in-law, Mary Beth Osborn of Mandan, N.D.; a brother-in-law and his wife, Ed and Merita Steinbrueck of Eden Prairie, Minn.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents; and father-in-law, Ed Steinbrueck.
