FRED REMER JR.

Fred Remer Jr., 85, a retired farmer and painter, died Tuesday at the Sacred Heart hospital after a sickness of several years. He resided at 114 – 2nd Ave. S.W.

Funeral services were Thursday, April 29, at 2 p.m. at the Mauer Funeral chapel. Interment was in the City cemetery under the direction of Mauers Funeral Home.

Mr. Remer was born Nov. 6, 1869, in Wisconsin and came to the LeMars vicinity as a child. His wife, the former Martha Haefner, died in 1930. Several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Surviving are a son, Howard, of Long Beach, Calif; one grand-daughter, Mrs. Bernice R. Drennen, and one great grand-daughter, Sharon E. Drennen.

Others surviving include four brothers and a sister. They are: Charles of Rathdrum, Idaho; Louis of Garner, Ia.; Harry of Odebolt; Ben of LeMars; and Mrs. Emma Mansen of Iowa Falls.
