C. LANGENDORFER
Clarence M. Langendorfer, 60, lifelong LeMars resident died unexpectedly Saturday at his home here after suffering a heart attack.
Mr. Langendorfer was born here October 31, 1896. He operated the LeMars Oil Co., a service station and bulk petroleum plant, 25 years until his retirement about three years ago.
A World War I veteran, he was a member of Wasmer Post, American Legion, here and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Remsen, Ia. He also was a member of the Eagles here and of the First Methodist church.
Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. D.F. Haas, residing in Illinois; a brother, John of LeMars; and a sister, Mrs. Ellen Gerling of LeMars.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Robert Gildner of the First Methodist church here officiating. Burial will be in the LeMars cemetery under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.
