CHRISTINA M. PECKS
Mrs. Christina Pecks, of 123 1st Street SE in LeMars, passed away at the Sacred Heart hospital in LeMars on March 25, 1954, after a sickness lasting three months.
Christina Uttermark was born April 12, 1883, in Holstein, Germany. She came to this country at the age of nine weeks and to Plymouth County in 1900. She moved to LeMars in 1927. William H. Pecks and Christina Uttermark were married in 1905 in LeMars. Mr. Peck died in 1931.
Funeral services were held today, Monday, March 29, at St. John’s American Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. Rev. L.L. Belk officiated at last rites and burial was in the LeMars City cemetery under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Adolph (Agnes) Kuck of LeMars and six sons, all of this area including, Edmund G., Donald H., Alvin W., Bernard H., Leslis H., and William C. Pecks. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, 6 sisters, and 3 brothers. She was a member of St. John’s American Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid society.
