MRS. EMMA ANDERSON

Mrs. Emma M. Anderson, 83, a resident of the LeMars community for 10 years, died at the Sacred Heart hospital. She had been sick several years.

Mrs. Anderson, the former Emma Winterfield, was born December 2, 1873, in Clayton county, Iowa. She came to Plymouth county at the age of 5 years and had resided in the county for about 30 years. In 1947 she moved to Marcus after living a number of years in California.

She was married to Carl L. Anderson October 22, 1923, at Oakland, California.

Survivors are the widower; a brother Louis of Craig, Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. Mathilda Lenth of LeMars.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday (today) at the Mauer funeral home. Rev. R.W. Meyer, pastor of the Peace Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in a LeMars cemetery.
