MRS. JOHN BANFORD
Mrs. John Banford, a native of Plymouth County , died Wednesday night at Sacred Heart hospital after an illness of three weeks. Services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Luken Funeral Home, and burial will be in LeMars Cemetery.
Millicent Sophia Clara Marie Carley was born near Melbourne, the only daughter of Edward and Ursula Jenny Carley. She lived for many years in Plymouth County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers: Glen, Leo, Julius, Frank and Edward. Her husband, John Banford, died here in 1954.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Thurlow M. (Esther) Jewell of LeMars, with whom she made her home since 1954; a brother, Phillip George Carley of Rapid City, S.D.; and a granddaughter, Mrs. Palmer (Camilla) Carlin, of Palo Alto, Calif.
