Agnes M. (Jochum) Beyer, 74, of Sioux City died Saturday, April 11, 1998, in Silver Spring, Md.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph A. Dillinger, associate pastor, and the Rev. James A. Bruch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Ellendale, Iowa. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, with a parish vigil service at 7 p.m. and a rosary at 7:30 p.m., at Larkin Northside Funeral Home.

Mrs. Beyer was born Nov. 30, 1923, in Alton, Iowa. She was raised in Alton.

She married Vincent M. Beyer on Nov. 28, 1946, in Alton. The couple moved to Sioux City from Akron, Iowa in 1959. He died June 1, 1977, in Sioux City.

She was employed with Casey's General Store.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and enjoyed flower gardening.

Survivors include six daughters, JoAnn Storer Hansen of Denver, Colo., Joyce and her husband, James Bear, of Aurora, Colo., Nancy Beyer and her husband, Joe Albright, of Minnetonka, Minn., Cindy and her husband, Glenn Scherb, of Kiester, Minn., Brenda Beyer and her husband, Barry Schade, of Minneapolis, Minn., and Lori Beyer of Silver Spring, Md.; four sons and their wives, Ken and Carol of Rock Valley, Iowa, Jim and Sharon of Ponca City, Okla., Rick and Cindy of Sioux City and Randy and Shelly of Blair, Neb.; her mother, Josephine (Block) Jochum of Alton; four sisters, Loretta and her husband, Roy Murphy, of Sheldon, Iowa, Hilda Rolfes of Luverne, Minn., Martha Jochum of Alton and Rita and her husband, Jerome Fischer, of Hospers, Iowa; a brother-in-law and his wife, Bob and Lorraine Fischer of Granville, Iowa; 22 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hugo G. Jochum; a sister, Evelyn Fischer; and a brother-in-law, Elmer Rolfes.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brad, Dustin, Nicholas, Jeremy and Davis Beyer and David Albright.
