ARLENE M. SELKEN
MERRILL, Iowa—Arlene M. Selken, 33, of Merrill, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 2, 1996, at a Sioux City hospital after being stricken at work.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Merrill with the Rev. Richard Ball officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m today, with a Scriptural prayer service at 8 p.m., at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in LeMars.
Mrs. Selken was born Jan. 2, 1963, in Breckenridge, Minn., the daughter of Edwin and Marlene (Porter) Wrolson. She grew up in Tintah, Minn., and attended schools there.
On Oct. 13, 1984, she married Tim Selken at Madison, S.D. The couple had lived in Michigan, Nebraska, and Maryland, moving to Merrill in 1993. She was employed at the Truck Haven Café in Sioux City.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Chasity and Jasmine and a son, Chris, all at home; two sisters, Rachel Brockton of Willmar, Minn., and Jackie Norris of Perham, Minn., and four brothers, Terry and his wife, Debbie of Kingman, Ariz., Edwin Jr. and Scott, both of Willmar and Raymond of Brooten, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Milo and Allen.
