OCCUPATION: She attended rural school in Henry Township and was a lifelong resident of the Remsen area. The couple farmed southeast of Remsen in Henry Township until 1963, when they moved to Remsen. He died Feb. 6, 1976.
SURVIVORS: …include a son, Everald and his wife Lois of Remsen; a daughter Ellen and her husband Orlin Pratt of Remsen, and Rosemary Steffen Liesner of Remsen; nine grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a sister, Irma Hansen and her husband, Alfred, of Kingsley, Iowa; and three brothers, Walter and his wife Helen and Raymond and his wife Marge, all of Remsen, and Arlie and his wife Aileen of Marcus, Iowa.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …a son, Vernon; a grandson, Russell Steffen; four sisters, Annie Steffen, Lillian Heitmann, Viola Goettsche, and Marie Roling; and two brothers, Elmer and Henry.
