Earl J. [James] Graham, 86 2627 S. Rustin St., formerly of Merrill, Iowa died Wednesday morning, [Nov. 7, 1979] at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Ellendale. The Rev. James Bruch of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Rev. Robert Gralapp, of Nativity Catholic Church in Sioux City will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery [in Sioux City].
The rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. today and there will be a prayer service at 8:15 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Mr. Graham was born [to Joseph and Catherine Garvey Graham] on Oct. 18, 1893 at Sioux City.
He married Anna P. Christensen Feb. 16, 1920, in Sioux City. He farmed in the Merrill vicinity from 1930 until 1971 when he moved into Merrill. He came to Sioux City two years ago.
He was a member of Nativity Catholic Church and a former longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Ellendale.
Survivors include a son, Dwight of Sioux City; two brothers, Howard of Sioux City and Walter of Seattle, Wash; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren
