SIOUX CITY JOURNAL JULY 13, 1997NADINE CLAREY
Hinton, Iowa—Nadine E. Clarey, 75, of Hinton died suddenly Friday [July 11, 1997] at her residence.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellendale, Iowa with the Rev. Richard D. Ball officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today with the family present from 6-8 p.m. and a Scripture service at 7 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Mrs. Clarey was born May 1, 1922 in Anthon, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Mamie (Strait) Kraft. She was raised in the Sioux City area.
She married Lawrence C. Bunch. He died in 1955.
She married John F. “Jack” Clarey, Jr. on Jan. 25, 1964 in Sioux City. The couple farmed in the Merrill, Iowa area. He died Jan. 14, 1994 in Merrill. She moved to Hinton in 1996.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Theresa’s Circle.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Bunch and his wife Mary of Hinton and John Clarey of Akron, Iowa; eight daughters, Glenda [Bunch] and her husband Ron Pridie of Hinton, Cheryl [Bunch] Brenden of Hinton, Becky [Bunch] Ludwig of Merrill, Evelyn [Clarey] Brunsting of Merrill, Jean [Clarey] Groon of Akron, Maureen [Clarey] and her husband, Mark Larson of Akron, Jeannette [Clarey] and her husband Mark Plueger of Akron, and Joanne [Clarey] Fuller of Cedar Fall, Iowa; two brothers, Marvin Kraft of East Moline, Ill and Raymond Kraft of Shingle Springs, Calif; 34 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Arlene Reed and Rosetta Pappas.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jason Pridie, Tracy Brenden, Ben Beaulieu, Dustin Hemmingsen, John Clarey, Daniel Larson, Brandon Plueger, Kevin Brunsting, and Kyle Groon.
