LYDIA MAE DETLOFF
Mrs. Lydia Mae Detloff, of 421 Central Ave. S.W. in LeMars, passed away November 7, 1954, at the Sacred Heart hospital here after a sickness which lasted since April.
Lydia Mae Pech was born February 23, 1882, at Storm Lake, Iowa, and came to Plymouth County as a girl. She has since lived here. On May 9, 1906, she was united in marriage with Wm. J. H. Detloff in LeMars. He passed away in May, 1954.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mauer funeral home in LeMars with burial in the LeMars City Cemetery. Rev. James Ransom will officiate.
Survivors include six sons; John of LeMars, Robert of El Cerrito, California, Warren, Orenda, Calif.; Carl of Sturgis, Michigan; Glenn of LeMars; and Wayne of Little Rock, Arkansas. Also a brother Clarence of Sioux City survives as do five sisters; Mrs. Dora Eyres of LeMars, Mrs. Agnes Osborne of Alton, Mrs. Rena Fowler of Oakland, California, Mrs. Anna Caldwell of Fat Rockaway, New York, and Mrs. Mabel Eilers of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter in infancy. She was a member of the Presbyterian church in LeMars.
