HENRY CALLAGHAN
DIES, RITES TUESDAYHenry James Callaghan, 75, a resident of LeMars for the past 25 years, died Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Sacred Heart hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. F.G. Patterson will conduct the services. Burial will be in LeMars City Cemetery with Mauers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Henry Callaghan was born Dec. 4, 1877, at Batavia, Ill. At the age of one year he moved to Akron with his parents. In 1927 he moved to LeMars and was employed as a painter.
Survivors include a half sister, Mrs. Ethel Spears, of Los Angeles, Calif., and a half brother, Lee S. Shedd of Akron. Also nine nieces and nephews.
