LULU PINNEY

Lulu Pinney of 507 6th Avenue, S.W. passed away September 28 at her home. She was 80 years of age and had been sick for two weeks.

Lulu Jackson was born August 23, 1879, in Seney. She lived most of her life in LeMars and the vicinity with some years spent at Sioux City and South Dakota. She was married to Robert L. Pinney in LeMars in 1903, who survives.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 1, at 2 p.m. at the Mauer funeral home with burial in the LeMars City cemetery. Rev. Olson of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Sioux City, will officiate.

Survivors include her husband of LeMars; four children, Marion Pinney of Sioux City, Ralph Pinney of LeMars, Delne Pinney of Sioux City; and Verna (Mrs. George Witt) of Sioux City; fourteen grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Three brothers: Clarence Jackson of Kenneth, Minnesota; William of Sioux City; and Bert of Omaha: a sister, Mrs. Lester Dorr of LeMars.

She was preceded in death by an infant son and two sisters. Friends may call at the Mauer funeral home after noon Wednesday.
