It is with sadness that the family of Kyoko announce her death on Tuesday Oct. 14, 2008, at Sendai City, Japan, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Aug. 1, 1922.

Kyoko had a strong love for music and performed for many years, playing several traditional Japanese instruments. Our lives have been blessed by her generosity of love, care, and courage.

She is, and will be forever, missed by her children, Keiichiro Yamada of Japan, Keizo Yamada and his wife Bobette of Le Mars, Kozo Yamada of Japan, and Yukie Takada and her husband Michihara of Japan, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kojiro Yamada in 1960.
