OCCUPATION: They farmed near Merrill and Westfield, Iowa, before moving to the Kingsley area in 1945. He retired from farming in 1979.
SURVIVORS: …include his wife; a daughter, Carol Ohlendorf of Omaha; three sons and their wives, LaMont and Karen Schmid, Dennis and Maureen Schmid and Roger and Diane Schmid, all of Kingsley; a sister, Frieda Lake of Merrill; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …a sister, Martha Trometer; and three brothers, Fred, Oscar and LeRoy.
