Funeral services for Mrs. Elma Pearson Knecht, 64, former Hinton resident for 40 years, who died at her home at Reseda, Cal., September 24, were held in California recently.
Mrs. Knecht was born May 2, 1889, in Moville, Ia., and on June 9, 1908, was married to Calvin H. Pearson of Hinton. Mr. Pearson died in 1923.
In August, 1929, she was married to Herbert Knecht. They have lived in California the last ten years.
Survivors besides the widower are three daughters, Mrs. John Husman of Quimby, Mrs. LeRoy Fladry of Erie, Pa., and Mrs. Francis McInerney of Sioux City; three sons, Ira M. Pearson and Robert C. Pearson, both of Reseda, Cal., and Pfc. Glenn Knecht of Cherry Point, N.C.; five sisters, Mrs. Bert Harrison, of Kingsley, Mrs. Roy Boggs of Moville, I, Mrs. Marie Langley and Mrs. Leora Hodges, both of Denver, Col., and Mrs. Letha Yiegh of Moxee, Wash.; 25 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
