LAST RITES FOR MRS. M. KOUNKEL

Mrs. Minnie Pauline Kounkel, 89, longtime Sioux Cityan, died Sunday at a hospital at that place. Mrs. Kounkel was born April 21, 1875, in Stanton township, Plymouth county. She was married to Michael Kounkel at LeMars, on Feb. 7, 1899. They farmed in Plymouth county until moving to Sioux City in March 1929.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

Survivors are the widower; four daughters, Mrs. Caroline Caldwell, Mrs. Ethel Betsworth and Mrs. Mabel Dixon, all of Sioux City; three brothers, Ed Beck of LeMars, Albert Beck of Sioux City, and Charles Beck of Merrill.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Leeds, Rev. R.G. Holzhauer officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Edward Johnson, Don Krause, Darrell Krause, Dwain Krause, Larry Betsworth, and Gordon Dixon.
