FORMER HOME WAS IN PLYMOUTH COUNTY

Jesse A. Knapp, 84, died Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Harold Brower in Sioux City. He located in Sioux City in 1924.

Mr. Knapp was born November 18, 1866, at Kalamazoo, Mich. He came to Plymouth county at the age of 16 where he resided until moving to Sioux City. He farmed east of Hinton for many years. Mrs. Knapp died in 1934.

Survivors include four sons, Coy of Correctionville, Iowa, Dale of Pequot Lake, Minn., Samuel of Bend, Oregon, and Everett of Canby, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. Brower, Mrs. Herman Pipgras of Slayton, Minn., Mrs. Herman Mathwig of Oto, Iowa; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock this Thursday afternoon at Wesley Methodist church in Leeds, with Rev. Fred Smith, Pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was in the Lincoln township cemetery, southeast of Hinton.
