MRS. ROSE KOUNKEL

Relatives here have received word from Seattle, Wash., of the death Jan. 4, of Mrs. Rose Kounkel, 88. Funeral services were held there Jan. 8.

Mrs. Kounkel was born March 18, 1877, in Stanton township, Plymouth county. Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Beck.

After her marriage to the late George Kounkel, the couple moved to Canada where they farmed, later moving to Seattle which had since been their home.

Survivors are six sons, all of the Seattle area; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Kounkel and Mrs. Clara Hoffman, both of Sioux City; three brothers, Charles Beck of Merrill, Albert of Sioux City, and Edward of LeMars.
