Mrs. William Schweitzberger, 88, rural Kingsley, died Thursday afternoon (Oct. 19. 1972) at her farm residence after a lengthy illness.
The former Sarah Rice, she was born Nov. 13, 1888, near Rock Branch in Woodbury county. She was the daughter of the late Augustus and Clory (Hoult) Rice.
She and William Schweitzberger were married Sept 10, 1907, at Sioux City. Mrs. Schweitzberger had lived on the same farm at rural Kingsley since her marriage.
She was a member of the United Methodist church at Kingsley.
Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 23, at the United Methodist church at Kingsley at 10:30 a.m. with Rev Howard H. Marty officiating.
Burial will be in the Kingsley cemetery under direction of the Michaelson funeral home at Kingsley.A prayer service will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. from the funeral home.
Mrs. Schweitzberger was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1937, two brothers, four sisters and a grandchild.
Survivors are six sons, Walter, Ralph, Frances and Harold, all of Kingsley, Ernest of Hinton and Kenneth of Moville; five daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Fern) Johnson of Perry, Mrs. Melvin (Viola) Kramer of Pierson. Mrs. Edward (Violet) Keller of California City, Calif., and Mrs. Chester (Pearl) Nagle and Mrs. Roy (Marvel) Nagle, both of Washogula, Wash.; a brother, George Rice of Tipton, 29 grandchildren and 38 great-grand¬children
