MRS. KATHERINE PHILIPS SERVICES SET WEDNESDAY AT ADAVILLE E.U.B. CHURCH
Mrs. Katherine Philips, 83, died Monday afternoon at Sacred Heart hospital after several months illness.

Mrs. Philips was born in May, 1875, in Germany. She came to the United Stales at the age of 14 and lived most of her life on farms near Hinton and Merrill.

She was married to Samuel D. Philips, April 18, 1895, in Hinton. Mr. Philips died in November of 1957.

Survivors include four sons. A. E. of Merrill, Chester of Le Mars, and Elmer and William of Akron. three daughters, Mrs. Nelson Brown of Merrill, Mrs. Earl Sargent of Akron and Mrs. Ralph Gabel of Le Mars, 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Adaville Evangelical United Brethren church. Rev. L. L. Musser will officiate and burial will be in the Pleasant Valley cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.
