KINGSLEY, Iowa -- Ethel A. Hodge, 94, of Kingsley died Monday, May 16, 2005, at the Embassy Nursing and Rehab Center in Sergeant Bluff.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Rohde-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley, with the Rev. Doug Roe of Siouxland Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.

Ethel was born June 8, 1910, in Kingsley, the daughter of Lou and Elizabeth (McIntosh) Albert. She grew up in Kingsley and married Bob Wood. He died unexpectedly in 1965. She later married Maurice Hodge and lived in the Kingsley area. Maurice died in 1983.

She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, square dancing and her cat collection. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Sandra and Fred Ohlfest of Sioux City and Sherry and Max Wells of Hereford, Texas; a son and his wife, Ric and Jackie Hodge of LaCanda, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchildren; a niece, Arlene Lage of Kingsley; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters; and a daughter, Bonnie.
