Eldora Helen Kleihauer, 72, of Alcester, SD, died Monday, October 16, 2000, at Morningside Manor in Alcester, SD.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Thursday, October 19, 2000 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron; IA with Rev. Allen Bidne officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Akron. Visitation will be from 2 P.M, to 8 P.M. Wednesday, October 18, 2000 with the family present from 6 P.M. to 8 PM. at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.
Eldora was born November 26, 1927 in Akron, IA, the daughter of George and Bertha (Hitzemanri) Lammers. She attended Spearfish, SD Teachers College and Netleton College in Sioux City. She married Harold Kleihauer June 5, 1949, in Akron, IA. She taught rural school in the Akron area and also in the Black Hills area. Mrs. Kleihauer was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron where she was a member of the Martha Circle. She was also a member of the Auxiliary at Morningside Manor in Alcester, SD.
Survivors include her husband, George; two daughters, Ardith Thompson and her husband, Ron, of Sioux City, IA and Audrey Hubrier arid her husband, Robert, of Pipestone, MN; two sons, Harlan and his wife, Mary, of Elk Point, SD and Gordon of Akron; 7-grandchildren; one brother, George Lester Lammers of Dayton, NV ; one sister Lois Cotton of Rantoul, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Organist will be Marietta Nielsen accompanying soloist, Sarah Kleihauer, who will be singing "Amazing Grace." Other musical selections will "In the Garden" and "He Leadeth Me." Lunch will be served at the church immediately following the committal service at the cemetery.Akron Register Tribune
