OCCUPATION: The couple moved from Alcester to a farm northwest of Madison, S.D., in 1951, where she lived until moving to Madison in 1991.
SURVIVORS: include one son, James Kontz, of Sioux City; three daughters, Kathleen Utesch, Hawarden, Clara Mae Lawless, Mitchell and Diane Shoemaker, Madison; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: Mr. Kontz preceded her in death in 1986. She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
