PARENTS: daughter of John and Lena (Gengler) Nilles

SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 2nd MARRIAGE:
OCCUPATION: The couple farmed near Cherokee for many years. He died Jan. 22, 1993.
SURVIVORS: include three sons, Joseph and his wife Joyce and Leo and his wife Theresa, all of Cherokee, and Charles of Palatine, Ill.; three daughters and their husbands, Connie and Gary Olsen, Judy and Ray Gum, and Kathy and Martin Thompson all of Cherokee; one son-in-law, Gary Simmons of Cherokee; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret and her husband Ray Grage of Remsen, Iowa, Mary Ann and her husband Lester Bush of Cleghorn, Iowa, and Phyllis Jaminet of Cherokee.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: one daughter, LuAnn “Cookie’ Simmons; her parents; and one brother, Ted.
PLACE of BURIAL: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cherokee
