LEONARD LAUX

LE MARS, Iowa—Leonard Laux, 71, LeMars, died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Memorial services will be a 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Mauer Funeral Home in LeMars. The Rev. Leonard Root will officiate.

Mr. Laux was born July 25, 1911, in LeMars and was a lifelong resident.

He married Hilda Smith June 2, 1938, in Ponca City, Neb. He was employed in sales and service of sewing machines and in recent years had been manager of the Floyd Valley Apartments.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Judith Mitchell, of Grand Junction, Colo.; a son, Steven, of Omaha; a brother, Vernon of LeMars; five sisters, Mrs. Lillian Manning of Des Moines, Mrs. Florence Eyers of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Selma Rees of Ames, Mrs. Edith Mertz of Lima, Ohio, and Mrs. Ada Schuler of Atlantic, and six grandchildren.
