ELLEN BLUM PHIPPS

Mrs. Ellen Blum Phipps, 95, Easton, Md., a former LeMars resident, died March 30, 1983, at an Easton nursing home.

Memorial services were held at Blackwater Church with Rev. Kerry Shull officiating. Burial was in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Ocean View, Del.

She was born Nov. 14, 1887, in Sweden. She lived in LeMars in the 1920s and 1930s while her family attended school.

She is survived by three daughters, two sons, 23 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. A daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ralph Phipps, lives in LeMars.

Mrs. Phipps was preceded in death by two sons, Gordon, who was killed in action during World War II and Ralph, who died in 1975.
