TOM M. KENNY

Tom M. Kenny, 88, Sinton, Texas, and former Akron resident, died Monday (Dec. 20, 1982) in the Taft hospital in Taft, Texas, after a long illness.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Sinton. Burial was in the Sinton Cemetery.

Mr. Kenny was born April 23, 1894, at Early, Iowa. He married Ruth Johnson of Akron April 23, 1921. The couple farmed in the Akron area until 1948 when they moved to Sinton, Tex., farming there until retiring in 1980. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sinton and a member of Sinton Masonic lodge 1012 AF & AM.

Survivors are his wife, Ruth of Sinton; one son, J. Thomas Kenny of Akron; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Herzberg of Burnsville, Minn., Mrs. Rosemary Karr of Sinton and Mrs. Ellen Cornelius of Corpus Christi, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Weber of Early, Iowa; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
