JOHN P. HAZEL DIES UNEXPECTEDLY; RITES TO BE HELD FRIDAY

John P. Hazel of Leeds, formerly of LeMars, died there at his home Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in LeMars Friday at 11 a.m. at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home.

The Rev. H.V. Bartz will conduct the services and burial will be in the city cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home until the services.

Mr. Hazel’s death was unexpected. He was 58 years old and had lived in Sioux City for the past 15 years, working as a metal polisher at the Albertson Tool Co.

The son of George and Margaret Hazel, he was born in LeMars Jan. 4, 1893. He is survived by three children, Jackie Byron, Margaret Ann and Dawn Lynore.

Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Mary Winslow, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Anne Kearney, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Elizabeth Weineck, St. Paul, Minn.; and Mrs. Minnie Reiter, LeMars; and one brother, Joseph Hazel, of LeMars.
